The Do + Don’t List
a little exercise to find clarity in any season of your life
I spent one of my mornings in Spain journaling by the pool & doing the exact exercise that I’m going to share with you below
so grab your journal + a pen and let’s see what we find
The inspiration behind this “do” and “don’t” list comes from yoga teacher, Tracee Stanley in her book The Luminous Self — in her book she shares a journaling exercise to find clarity within yourself around what you truly want & what you’re ready to let go of before the year ends
To try this exercise yourself, make a DO list + a DON’T list.
Write down everything that you are radically committed to DOING over the next six months of your life.
Write down everything that you DON’T want to do any longer over the next six months.
Let your lists fill up with only the things that matter most to you.
You might be surprised at what lands on your page.
After you’ve completed both lists, take a few deep breaths.
Place your hand over your heart & re-read what you wrote down.
Soak it all in.
And then show up to your list, one day at a time.
